“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;
I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
John 10:10
Thousands of people living in Western Zambia have no access to Bibles. Together, we can change this! For just US$15 (R250) , you can help us put a Bible into someone’s hand for the first time in their life!
Western Zambia is condensed with 48 multiple tribes and related languages, many of which do not have a single word of the bible in their language. Currently, we are working with our strategic partners on 5 key languages. We have completed the New Testament in the first language and will be moving on to the Old Testament systematically. We do this so that 100s of thousands of people can experience the Word in a language that they think in, dream in and work in.
In our area of focus, three out of five children die before their fifth birthdays! A major contributing factor is lack of access to clean and safe drinking water. You can help us change this!
The average cost of each water well is approximately US$4 000(R45 000). This may seem like a lot of money, but it is a small price to pay when we see the hope that it brings people. Each well provides water for an average of 1 000 people. This means that a child can receive a lifetime of clean water for as little as US$4 (R45)!
Water Changes Everything!
The station was established as a tool for effective evangelism, so others may live. Hope FM exists to bridge the information and communication gap with a view of enhancing church planting in Western Zambia and to spur development. We broadcast on the frequency 101.7 FM in Senanga District. Our main languages of broadcasting are Silozi and English.
We hope to engage the community and aid development.
Hope Art is a project that started when the need to help children in need in Western Zambia became apparent. A group of impoverished and mainly HIV positive Zambian widows came together to uplift local children in need and rise above their own circumstances. These ladies make all the different products by hand, even the rolled paper beads. Most of the Hope Art artists are the sole providers for their families and through earning an income now, their lives have changed dramatically with a new sense of self-worth and purpose.
These unique products are made in Zambia and South Africa and sold worldwide with 100% of the profits being invested into the lives of children in need in Western Zambia. Many children are now being cared for and their extended families uplifted, thereby benefiting the community.
