Gospel Outreach Projects

Vision & Mission

OUR VISION is to establish a life-giving church within walking distance of every person in the Western Province and to see all villages impacted by the Gospel and uplifted through a strong Christian Community.

OUR MISSION is to take the Gospel to where it has not been heard in Western Zambia and uplift communities through various projects.

We accomplish our MISSION through Hope Church and our projects and initiatives throughout Western Zambia.

Our Values

Our values are based on the principle of reaching people with the message of Christ.
Our ten simple values make us unique:

Every Person is valuable

Every person is valuable to God and therefore valuable to us.

Team

“We” is better than “me”.

Servant Leadership

We help others achieve their destiny in God.

Generosity

We are blessed to bless.

Authenticity

We reflect Christ in everyday life.

Family

Every person needs a sense of belonging at home and at church.

Honour

We believe in the next generation and value the wisdom and guidance of those who have gone before us.

Excellence

Excellence honors God and inspires people.

Relevance

Being culturally relevant while remaining doctrinally pure.

Fun

Fun opens the heart and refreshes the soul.

Expanding Impact Together

Our Leaders

We are more than privileged to lead The Zambia Project! It feels like yesterday that God called us to pioneer and lead this life-giving church planting movement in April 2003. We loved seeing projects like our Village Outreaches, Water Wells, Orphan Village, Hope Art and Bible Translation launched, but the highlight was starting Hope Church Mongu during December 2008! The projects and Hope Church are flourishing and have grown exponentially. More churches & individuals from different countries have become involved and God has raised up a team of the best local people and missionaries to help us. The Zambia Project is not built on the gifts of just a few people, but on the sacrifices of many!

Moses Mwiya, Lead Pastor of Hope Family Church Mongu & Director for The Western Zambia Project is building a dynamic life-giving church in Mongu. Together with Brad Sinclair (Director of Village Ministry and Church Planting) and Clarissa Linde (Director of Village of Hope), we are blessed with the three best leaders on the ground!

The work is expanding faster than ever before and the people’s need is more urgent than ever. We invite and encourage you to partner with us in extending His Kingdom right here, right now! We believe more than ever before that THE BEST IS YET TO COME for the Western Province of Zambia.

Thank you for playing your part!

Overcoming Obstacles

Western Zambia

Thousands of people living in the Western Province of Zambia have never heard the name of Jesus. Because of this, these people live in desperate circumstances, without hope and in spiritual darkness.

We take the Gospel to where it has not yet been heard in Western Zambia and endeavor to uplift communities through various initiatives.

This province is a vast, sparsely populated, very poor area with little infrastructure. To try and explain the remoteness of the area we work in to our Western ways of thinking, we can use the following fact: There are roughly one million people living in Western Zambia and less than 1% has a flushing toilet.

The literacy levels in the rural communities are lower than 8%. Most communities have no continuous source of safe drinking water. The majority of people have never had access to any form of medical care. HIV/Aids, Malaria and TB have left many widows and orphans in vulnerable situations with no food and shelter. Countless children are dying from malnutrition.

Due to the adverse circumstances and cultural obstacles of working in this area, missionary efforts of the past have been restricted. Many faithful missionaries, like David Livingstone, laid down their lives looking forward to the day when the people living in Zambia’s Western Province would open their hearts to God. Today is that day! Where others have sown with their lives, our team now has the opportunity to reap – the harvest is finally ripe! The people are ready to accept the message of hope and redemption. Now is the time to spread our nets for a great catch.

Join us and help!

"To the world you may be one
person, but to one person you
may be the world."

"To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world."
